Ab Rules

Why train your six pack abs?

· With strong six pack abs and obliques, back pain can be eliminated most cases.

· When the six pack abs are toned, they look outstanding!

· Strong six pack abs help to improve body posture as well as support your spine.

The Do’s:

· Always train your obliques as well as the six pack abs during the same workout.

· Always maintain constant tension on the six pack abs throughout the entire movement.

· Always squeeze the muscles at the top of each movement.

· Always use a variety of exercises to train all areas of the muscle.

· Always remember that your diet and cardio play a key role in you ever being able to see your six pack abs.

· Always train your six pack abs and obliques at the end of your workout, or on a separate day.

The Don’ts:

· Never perform traditional sit-ups. As they are effective by themselves.

· Never pull on your head or neck while training your six pack abs.

· Never bring your elbows in during crunches, as this restricts the full range of the movement.

· Never rely on the ineffective commercial ab gimmicks or gadgets that are advertised on television.

· Never train your abs every day, as they need rest just like every other muscle group.
